I can't believe The Senator movie theater is closing. I am really, really depressed about it. I grew up down the street from it, and I saw the first movie I've ever seen there- I was 2 and it was Annie. I saw Stop Making Sense at the senator in 1984, and now I am going to see it there again tonight!
Not to mention this art-deco architectural gem built in 1939 is on the National register of Historic Places. How could it just close- just like that??
